He received his undergraduate degree in 2003 from the Pennsylvania State University and his medical degree in 2007 from the West Virginia University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He subsequently completed his internship and a second year of Internal Medicine residency at the West Virginia University School of Medicine from 2007-2009. He completed his dermatology training in 2012 from the University of Louisville, where he served as the chief resident from 2011-2012."
