I called Dr. Gavin's practice last Tuesday, 6/4, to schedule an appointment for a surgical consultation on a torn shoulder labrum. I was told that the earliest he could see me would be the following Wednesday, 6/12 at 10:15AM. Today, Tuesday, 6/11, I received a call from his office stating that he would not be able to meet with me at the scheduled time. Puzzled by this, I asked why I had lost my appointment time. The receptionist rudely stated that I had not lost my appointment, rather Dr. Gavin had chosen earlier today to schedule a non-emergency surgery with someone else tomorrow morning. This would also mean that any other consultations or follow-up appointments that he had scheduled for tomorrow morning would be cancelled in favor of performing this surgery. Everybody knows that doctors make much more money from performing surgery than they do from consultations in the office. Dr. Gavin's actions today demonstrate that he prioritizes his patients' money over their health, which is

Dr. Gavin performed a four-hour operation on my shoulder. Three of my tendons were 'massive' torn off the bone.from my rotator cuff. The pictures from my surgery were remarkable. Dr. Gavin oversaw my recovery, PT and always coaching me to keep my activities to a minimum. It's been a year since my surgery and my shoulder feels fine and is gaining strength weekly. Dr. Gavin did a wonderful job and I'm grateful for his quality work. Dr. Gavin also (10 yrs ago ) fixed my knee cap through PT.

I fought the idea of needing knee surgery for a very long time. I met with 5 other doctors, each one confirming that a partial knee replacement was my only option. The ability to have robot-assisted surgery intrigued me. When I met with Dr. Gavin I felt so very confident in him. Thank goodness I had this surgery. My life has changed. I was living in terrible pain for a very long time. Every aspect of my life was affected by my knee. I am so very happy to feel good again!

I'd probably be in a wheelchair if Dr Gavin hadn't replaced both of my knees (8 months apart). Very pleased. I've recommended the practice to several.
