I have put off this surgery for 12 years. Finley pain stopped me from doing much of what I wanted to do. Dr. Gary gave me the confidence that I could get some help from surgery. It is way to early to tell the outcome but my pain level in walking has dropped from 9 to 2 so this gives me hope for the future.

Dr. Gary is very thorough, direct, and informative. He is confident and instills confidence in the patient. His assistant, (Leiete) always returns calls, listens, and provides the needed information. After three weeks I am walking over a mile per day, and any pain is controlled without pain killers.

Dr. Gary is an excellent doctor! My father had back surgery on January 9, 2019 and he's already feeling a lot better. I'm so happy and excited about his progress. I highly recommend this particular doctor as your Neurosurgeon if you are looking for one.

I was desperately searching for a neurosurgeon to perform a fusion back surgery. He was recommended by a friend, and Dr. Gary was truly a blessing from my first appointment to 6 months out of surgery. He is extremely kind and knowledgeable when discussing your problem. My surgery has progressed exactly as he told me. I would highly recommend him.

I am so happy that after my bad experience with a doctor after my car accident it led me to my serch for a great dr for my neck. Dr. Gary and all the staff I have encountered at Emory have been the best decision I could of made. Everyone was so caring and listen to me and my problems. It resulted in the best care ever. My neck is great and have been back to work now for almost a month. This is my second experience at Emory and will use them again if needed.

He is compassionate, listens, discusses as long as you want, and surgically skilled beyond my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone! I've had 3 back operations now and he fixed 2 prior messes...thank God for Dr. Gary. I now have a future and a life with little pain!!!

My experience was different & disappointing. I found Dr. Gary to be dismissive of my concerns & stoic. NO Dr. is a "God." My medical records had a lot of incorrect information & his assessment did not align w/ the multiple physicians I've seen for my back in the past 11 yrs. They all had the same on gait & ROM. His report had everything normal, but yet it read my condition was "severe" & surgery needed. When I told my rheumatologist about it he advised me to not return & He is world renouned!

I would highly recommend Dr. Gary. I was very new to the Atlanta area and followed the recommendation of my primary care doctor. This was the best recommendation ever!!! Dr. Gary explained my procedure thoroughly and his confidence put me to ease. I also communicated with several members of his staff, RN Liette Bagwell and Admin. Assistant Sasha Horton and they were extremely professional and handled my concerns efficiency and effectively.
