Dr. Austin was highly recommended to me by Rothman spine surgeon Dr. Anderson, as well as a good friend who had had surgery with Dr. Austin. I immediately felt comfortable with him and found him to be thorough and completely knowledgable. I appreciated that there was no pressure whatsoever to agree to joint replacement, which I fully knew I need. While this will be my first surgery with Dr. Austin, it is not my first at Rothman. The process that had once seemed a bit overwhelming, now seems just perfect to me for my safety and best medical practices.

Dr. Austin is an incredible surgeon. I am having my second total knee replacement 7 months after he replaced my other knee because I had such a great outcome and experience the first time. He took the time explaining the procedure and his team is phenomenal with follow up and professionalism. I would strongly recommend Rothman Orthopedic Hospital and Dr Matt Austin.

Dr. Austin and his outstanding team are truly the most caring and professional individuals who really go above and beyond to make sure that this patient has the best care. Dr. Austin is taking tremendous care of my left knee (total replacement) and I have complete trust and confidence that he will do another outstanding surgery and post-op support on my right knee, as well. Additionally, you can just feel the sincerity and genuine dedication that Dr. Austin and his staff bring to each patient.

If you're looking for a great surgeon, then Dr. Austin should be your choice. He performed a bilateral hip replacement on me and I was up walking the same day with little to no pain and went home the next day. I was able to do things I did 20 years earlier in my life in as little as 3 months after surgery. His Staff/Team were outstanding.

Dr. Austin replaced both my knees In two separate procedures five years ago. My knees had originally been blown by the age of 14 and I had been operating with no meniscus for about 10 years. Dr Austin convinced me that I would be able to play racquetball again after the procedure, which others had said was unlikely. He did the surgery at Jefferson and I was playing racquetball again less than 2 months following surgery. I have continued to play 20+ games per week ever since, including 3 games this morning at the age of almost 72 and despite being very overweight. Dr. Austin understood that surgery was only half the job and that I needed to work through pain during rehab. He pointed out that I wasn’t going to break anything else and that the pain would go away unless I gave up. He was truly outstanding. I had to wait some to get the appointment, but it was worth it.
