Dr. Hipke says..

While I am a board-certified Internist, my 19 years of experience with over 4600 teens has led to a unique expertise in primary care counseling of teens.  Because of my reputation for guiding troubled teens, judges and counselors routinely refer patients to my office.  Teens like it because they get a primary care physician, life coach, advocate and advisor under one roof.

It also seems I have become the 'go-to' physician for tween and teen boys who have a history of abuse.  It is difficult for them to put down their walls.  They don't like visiting with a wide array of counselors / psychiatrists / doctors, and learn to shut down.  One-stop-shopping care with the same doctor is the secret.  My straight-forward approach has helped many teens in the area.   It is rewarding to see them empowered to live healthy lives and take good care of themselves!

Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.
