Accepting new patients
Dr. Meeneghan received his undergraduate degree from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He earned a B.S. in biology, minored in music and graduated summa cum laude. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia and completed is internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. After finishing his residency, he completed a hematology and oncology fellowship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Dr. Meeneghan received the Herbert R. Farber Award in 2009. This award is presented to a graduating student who has demonstrated excellence in internal medicine and in the fine arts or athletics. He was also inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in 2008 to recognize demonstrated excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication to service. Dr. Meeneghan is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. Dr. Meeneghan grew up in Milford, Connecticut. He is married to a native Texan and has two daughters. Dr. Meeneghan and his family enjoy hearing live music, going to festivals, running, hiking, and almost any other outdoor activity.
