I have been to Dr. Alexander for 3 procedures . He has pretty much given me back my life. Listen, he is one of a small group of neurosurgeons in Corpus, which is why your wait time is so long. If he did not overbook you would not be able to book an appointment. for a very long time. I am from New York and yes there are a huge group of neurologists to choose from. I find Dr. Alexander to be as comprehensive and capable as anyone there. Please get a second opinion if you feel it's needed.
Doctor does not explain clearly. His staff set up an unnecessary MRI apt. and proceeded to blame me for the mistake. It took 3 hours to see the DR., and he spent only 10 minutes at the most with me. He showed me a previous MRI, then briefly explained, talked about surgery, and received no real prognosis. When we tried to ask questions, he seemed flustered and annoyed. I'm sad to say that I have little confidence in this DR. I have relatives who seen him, and they too have the same opinion.

I understand their wait times are awful from reading other reviews. But their care is phenomenal and they saved my husband's life. Forever grateful for this group!

I've posted a review before and it was removed. On your first appointment its at least a 4 hour wait. I had L-4 L-5 S-1 fused by this hack.He damaged a nerve root between L-4-L5. I will never be the same, I will never be out of pain, no matter how many pain killers they give me. I woke up in my room and screamed for 5 days straight.

I really appreciate his candor, the willingness to answer questions and explain X-rays, MRI's, etc. He is a delightful surgeon and I would wait 3 days for an appointment. I just wish the office had more ergonomic seating arrangements.

Everything is fine for the first visit as long as you know you will be there for more than 4 hours. He will tell you if you need surgery or not on your first visit. After he charges the insurance the most he can he will throw you to a pain management and let them take over from there even if you need more specialty spine care. What gets me the most is they could care less about your pain as long as he got the most he could from your insurance company. But, then again there all the same.

Dr. Alexander is an excellent doctor, however the wait time way to long. Be prepared to have a four - six hour wait. I was very happy with surgery and my incision looks great.

Always a long wait time. Appointments are never kept. Today I had an appointment at 10 Am and I didn't get called till after 12:45 PM. I waited over two and a half hours. Not very professional at all. Office over books patients which result in too many people waiting and very long wait times.

No way I would allow anyone I know to see this Doctor. Performs more unnecessary surgeries than almost any other doctor I have heard of. And that's coming from other health professioals. Recommended surgery right away but went to one of the top spine surgeons on Houston and was told the surgery would not help the condition and pain I was having. This doctor is in it for the money so he can pay for his big ranch. What a quack. Do not go to him. Worth the trip to Houston to get much better care.
