My choice to see Dr. Platt was based entirely on his availability. First, I was sent out to get x-rays. Upon return, he walked into the room and said "you have Prepatellar bursitis, but you images don't indicate arthritis”. He never examined my knee, and seemed mildly disinterested in my problem. Told him Ibuprofen & ice not working. He mentioned a few options, but never recommended any specific action. That was it. Less than 10 min. he was gone! I got nothing from the appt. Waist of money!

ACL knee surgery- honest answers about the surgery and did a remarkable job. Have had quick responses to my questions and the follow up appointments have been easy to make.

The most apathetic doctor I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. He loves pushing those steroids in place of a thorough exam, tests and diagnosis. He doesn't seem very happy with his job.

I've been seeing Dr. Platt for my shoulder because he did my husband's reconstructive surgery and it was very successful. When I told him I had a setback and explained the additional pain in my hips and knees, he gave me a prescription for five days of steroids, which resolved the pain. He did make it clear that he couldn't manage my condition which I didn't expect him to do though this has put me a lot closer to a diagnosis.

I saw Dr Platt in June for a proximal humerus fracture from a fall. I told him my clavicle, scapula and elbow were also extremely painful. He told me it was probably just referred pain. He didn't even examine them, just looked at the calendar and said he was going on vacation. He gave me no instuctions. Worst orthopedic I, or anyone in my family, have ever seen.

I had the displeasure of Dr Platt doing my knee surgery. Surgery was a complete failure. Am in more pain and discomfort than before. Very poor communication as he didn't bother to explain that his technique was experimental. The Surgical Assistant told me afterwards he had never seen a doctor do what he saw Dr Platt do. Everything fom his manner to pain management I felt like he didn't care. I now experience a crunching sound in my knee and it locks.

Dr Platt is very direct and to the point. He treated me wth respect and made sure I understood my injuries and my options. I ultimately had him reconstruct my acl about a year ago and I couldn't be happier with the results of how I healed, including my very tiny scars.
