Beware!!! Do not take your child!
I would NEVER recommend Dr Romano or the Vanderbilt Adolescent Eating Disorder clinic to anyone who is seeking treatment for their child. They created more anxiety for my child and not one appointment in 1.5 years was helpful. They care more about their other department services in youth gender reassignment, or to put my child on birth control or give them multiple vaccines. Hardly anytime was spent on the actual eating disorder problem. They offer ZERO mental health services, which is a big component of eating disorders. You were on your own to try to find a counselor. They charged premium costs for Dr Romano services along with another charge to see nutritionist for 5 minutes who did not seem to know much. She really only provided printouts of a nutritional chart. What a joke!!! I would proceed with caution before taking my child there.

This lady is the rudest doctor we have ever met. She didn’t examine or even acknowledge my child but supposedly knew what was wrong with her. She didn’t let us ask questions. She did not give us a chance to talk. She was very hyper and edgy. She was very loud and obnoxious. I would not recommend her to my worse enemy. I thought the proper Vanderbilt protocol was that someone asks questions and then the next person asks too. This did not happen by her. Now we have to go further to get help.
