Dr. Beaver's family practiced medicine many years. She has 15 years experience. She and her staff explained the diagnosis carefully. Her recommendation for surgery as an elective gave time for decision. I am pleased that I was able to locate her medical facility and to take advantage of her expertise. Surgery is not always successful. However, if I should decide to do the corrective surgery to move my left vocal cord more toward mid line she would definitely be the one I would choose!

I also make my living speaking as a project manager in the heavy industrial construction business I could not work if I could not speak. I was losing the ability to speak and had lost the ability to sing a single note. I was hoarse for 2 years and I had los

Procedures Performed

Dr. Beaver says..

I use a very special laser (KTP) for many of my vocal cord cancer surgeries that preserves the voice. I use special microsurgical techniques to preserve the natural vibration of the vocal cord or restore the vocal cord to its normal position so that the voice may be normal. I completed a laryngology fellowship after residency which is extra training in the care of the professional voice and treatment of voice disprders. I have furthered my training with outside courses from national experts in laryngology. I believe that the voice is crucial for effective social and professional function and strive to give you back your very best voice. I also author clinical research that contributes to our understanding of voice and throat disorders.
