Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Maxwell "The family physician functions as the patient's means of entry into the health care system and as the physician of first contact in most situations is in a unique position to form a bond with the patient. The family physician's care is both personal and comprehensive and not limited by age, sex, organ system or type of problem. The family physician serves as the patient?s advocate in dealing with other medical professionals, third party payers, employers and others."

Although I have not seen Dr. Maxwell, his Nurse Practitioners (Richard, Sally and Beth) are outstanding. I would recommend this practice to all.

I was in pain with a UTI when I visited this ofc. The tech refused to test my urine bc I had taken Azzo. She said it wouldn't give any results which is not true! She told me the nurse would be my PC doc, & I would NEVER see Dr. Maxwell bc most of his patients only see a nurse. I said I did not agree with this practice. After waiting in pain for over 45 min. the tech told me the nurse REFUSED to see me. I went to Urgent Care, No problem testing my urine & getting meds for UTI. Took 10 min.

Charge patients without their prior knoweledge or concent for their serivces than later ignore the calls and do not make effort to solve the issues.

This man cares about your well being and finding out what the causes of any problems are. He uses common sense and years of experience in various settings to discuss with the patient possible causes and approaches to solutions. He listens and takes his time. Not an ounce of arrogance or presumption in him. Yet, he seems to know from a world of experience the direction to take. His referrals have been good for the most part. Lower rating on staff refers to the administrative staff.
in Sebring, FL |
He takes time to explain his reason for treatment and is able to make references to other specialty physicians if needed before you leave the office.

Very unprofessional and unknowledgeable. One of his nurse practitioners told me she'd pay for a private dance from me. A bit creepy, but I let it go. I left after his other nurse practitioner wrote a rx for my testosterone that was 200 times my dose!!! The problem was my pharmacist had to badger them for ten days to correct it. Pharmacist told me they were a patient and said they are incompetent. Getting them to order blood work is an arduous task. Very unorganized.
