Way too long wait times
You will literally sit in the waiting room for at least 5 hours, no less, to see the doctor. Yu may spend roughly 20 min with your actual doc. Your only day wil be spent just trying to see him. Highly advise to seak treatment some where else.

No respect for time
While Dr. Sack is pleasant enough, the front office is abysmal. Arriving on time for an appointment means waiting anywhere from two to four hours (not an exaggeration) for 10 minutes of actual consultation. Appointments are weeks in advance and there is absolutely ZERO accommodation if you are ill and need to see a doctor the same day or even within a few days; even telemedicine is several days out. Will tell you to come in every few months then you cant see him when you are actually sick.

Incompetent
Had an appointment at 1030. Took over 3 hours to refill a prescription and get minor blood work. Listening to the staff eat their lunch as I sat waiting in the room for over 3 hours. I had to remind them to get a urine sample for a routine test.

I have been going to, Dr. Sacks, since 2001. He is an attentive listener, and very empathetic. I do agree with other patients the wait time is too much, but I would rather have that and have a Dr. that listens to you, rather than an assembly line situation

Been here multiple times. Wait time is 1 hour minimum and up to 3 hours at times, even with a scheduled appointment. If your time is precious like mine is, look elsewhere for a doctor.

I would strongly encourage Dr Sack to do a sincere self reflection on his courtesy for patients whether it be thee time, opinions, beliefs and history. Dr Sack is convinced he is an expert on subjects he knows very little about and he is quick to form a judgement and was rude with me when I explained my experiences. I would strongly encourage discernment before selecting Dr Sack as your physician. He seems to be more concerned with drug distribution than any other area of his practice.

Dr. Sack is a great doctor yes unfortunately the wait time is beyond ridiculous no one should have to wait 3-6 hours to see there primary care doctor or psychiatrist - he shows huge lack of respect for his patients there by making them wait the way he does cause there time is just as valuable as his - also most of the girls in the office except for 1 who is no longer working there lack empathy hugely & are rude & never seem to want to be there.

Been with Dr Sack for 23 years, family has been with him for near 35. He genuinely cares about his patients as people. I moved and still drive 1 hour to see him. The wait sucks, but I’d rather wait to see him and know I’m going to have someone who listens and cares about my wellbeing. He has helped with many issues both with illness and psychological concerns. Won’t change drs until he retires. Can get next day appointments. Average time spent in office is about 4hrs. Only negative.

The wait sucks, but it’s worth It to me. I’ve been seeing him for 23 years and every time I have an issue he explains options to the fullest extent. Helped me with many issues. Cares about his patients as people. Can get next day appts. Which is probably why the wait sucks.

Dr. Sack is the most amazing doctor I've ever been to not only is he a psychiatrist but he is also a family doctor he takes his time with this patients and is very knowledgeable. He knows his stuff that's for sure he is always willing to try out different medications that suit you best and when prescribing a new one he makes sure that you come in for a check up to see how it's working. The only downfall is thI wait every time at least 3 hours to speak to him but thats bc he takes his time w/ us

Dr Sack is so good with finding the right medications. He is the most knowledgeable psychiatrist I have ever seen. I was hesitant to start medication again because I didn't want to go through the process of trying several different things and eventually being put on multiple drugs to counteract the effects of other drugs. I didn't have to do any of that this time. He knew what questions to ask me and got it right from the start. Yes, the wait is horrendous but so worth it. I am very grateful.

Today marks the second time that I have sat for over 1.5hr in an empty exam room without any further updates as to when the doctor would be in to see me for a simple, routine 5-minute medication refill visit. The first time I came here was for a checkup on my Tourette's Syndrome, in which Dr. Sack entered the room with two medical students and began asking me very personal questions about my health without first asking my permission for the two students to attend. This was EXTREMELY awkward and

Dr. Sacks is very kind. He often has medical students from the surrounding universities shadow him at work. The only problem that I ran into numerous amount of times was the wait time. The last two times I visited I had a four hour wait time. Yes, I had an appointment scheduled. The last time I took it upon myself to leave and cancel my appointment. I am now seeking a new doctor.

As a foster-care/adoptive parent of children & young adults with severe mental health disturbances I have dealt with inpatient and outpatient psychiatrists for years, from Grand Rapids, Detroit, Auburn Hills, New Baltimore, Northville & in-between, based on this I believe that Dr Marshall B Sack is the best Psychiatrist in Michigan, he is also a great Family Care Physician! He takes as much time as needed with each patient including you, so bring a bottle of water & book/homework...and patience.
