Dr. Marque Allen, DPM

I have gone to Dr. Allen at Sports Medicine Associates of San Antonio for over 10 years. I always get an appointment when I need it. The wait time in the reception area is minimal. Every single person in this practice I have encountered over the yrs has been extremely polite and friendly.. They are even able to do some imaging right there in office. I feel a positive energy with these folks. Dr. Allen has gotten me through so many sports injuries! I think the first time I saw him it was plantar fasciitis from teaching group exercise classes. I've seen him for achilles tendonitis, and achilles tendonosis on the other foot. He got me in the next day when I finished the SA RnR Half Marathon with a stress fracture of my calcaneus. He got me in immediately when I got a spiral fracture 5th metatarsal, My feet have definitely been a challenge. Dr. Allen's kind and straight-forward approach are exactly what I need. He also has a great sense of humor which I absolutely appreciate!

Dr. Allen has been a phenomenal physician for me. Throughout my hardships and difficulties of dealing with the repair of my ankle, I saw an immediate improvement right after surgery. Before and after surgery he was consistently very thorough, professional, explained in great detail, compassionate, and caring for my well-being. He always kept me informed and was very transparent with everything I was going through from the beginning . I have been very pleased with his whole staff and feel I am back at the capacity in which I should be. The above question states would I recommend Dr. Allen to family and friends.. I've been referring Dr. Allen to my friends after my second post visit and still recommend him when given the opportunity. He is definitely an asset to this organization and his worth can't be replaced. I am very appreciative and thankful for him.

Dr. Allen is Aaaaaamaing!!! He's very thorough in his visits. Takes his time with you. As a patient, you don't feel like a number. I'm glad I found him!!!

Love Dr Allen . He was able to help me figure out my foot pain . His staff is also great . It's worth the drive from Del Rio to see him. Never had a bad visit

Dr Allen is extremely professional and a great doctor. My Achilles scar is perfectly straight and I've had no pain. Very greatful to have him as my doctor and will continue to come to him.

Absolutely!!! He was able to repair a very difficult injury. His bedside manner is superb!!!

Fantastic doctor. I Paid out of pocket because it wasn't covered by my insurance, and it was worth it. He does give a significant discount for out-of-pocket. They'll tell you on the phone it's $320 but it cost more like $150. I went to many doctors about my problem, and none of them could help me. One recommended extensive surgery that Dr. Allen said was totally unnecessary. He came up with a plan that was much less invasive and did a lot more good. It is also more convenient because they can do everything in one location (MRI, x-ray, orthotic assessment, etc) He is also very kind, understanding, and a good listener.

Dr. Allen is a wonderful doctor. He explains everything is a simple and concerning manner. I recommend him to everyone with ankle issues because he's simply the best.

Dr. Allen as done so much for me. From the start he has always had a positive attitude about my recovery. I looked at him as if he was crazy when he first told me how short my recovery would be when I found out I had a high& low sprain and a broken ankle. I had surgery on my ankle back in June and I was able to return to play college softball by august. This December he removed my hardware & in 2 weeks I was released to play again. So thankful for all he has done for me.

Dr. Allen and his whole staff are wonderful. I have never felt rushed when Dr. Allen comes into the room. He sincerely cares about your health and wants you to feel positive about your procedure. Before my large toe fusion surgery on 8/7/20, I couldn't walk to the mailbox. I am now walking 1 1/2 miles a day with NO pain. My crooked toe is also straightening out which is an added plus. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr Allen is an amazing doctor. Very pleased with surgery to correct my bunion. He answered all my questions, recovery is going good. Will definitely recommend him.

Post op follow up; Achilles surgery Jan 29, 2020. Dr Allen did great job with surgery, no issues & progressing well.

Dr. Allen and his staff have been amazing. My daughters pre and post surgery care has put my mind at ease as we are in the recovery process. Bed side manner is wonderful, down to earth and yet has a wealth of knowledge. He is meeting my college athlete where she is at and modifying as much as possible for where she wants to be
