I would recommend Dr. Wohlgemuth to anyone who asked for a referral. He appears to be a very nice person and I feel as though he cares about his patients. He is knowledgeable and I trust that he knows what he is doing. Unfortunately his front desk office staff act as though they work in an auto parts store. Once you get past the front desk the doctor's assistants are attentive and kind. Trying to get past the front desk / receptionist when you have a painful ear infection is impossible.

Dr. Wohlgemuth says...

I have enjoyed practicing in South Orange County since completing my training in 1985. My early passion was neuroscience and this included a year of neurology in London and a year of neurosurgery training  at UCLA.

This led to five years of training in Otolaryngology and an opportunity to be the third member of Head and Neck Associates. We have grown to nine board certified specialists and I am proud to be one of the original   "Three Musketeers" in our group. I have sub specialty interest in Sleep Apnea and  paranasal sinus disease. I have valued the physician role in end of life care and am proud to have had the privilege of being an early champion of the Palliative Care initiative at Mission Hospital.

I feel blessed to be able part of the South County medical community and look forward to many more years providing care to our patients.

My outside interests include Italian Renaissance Art with a particular focus on the DaVinci Anatomical Drawings. I also enjoy classical music, Oscar Peterson, Stephane Grappelli, surfing, golfing, vegetable gardening and flying drones.
