This content was provided by Dr. Trevino "Dr. Mark J. Trevino, a San Antonio native, is a board certified ophthalmologist that specializes in Comprehensive Ophthalmology. After finishing in the top of his class from MacArthur High School, he attended the University of Texas at Austin where he earned his business degree, graduating with Honors. While at Texas, Dr. Trevino decided to pursue his life long interest in medicine and after graduation attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where he earned his medical degree. Following medical school, he completed his medical internship as well as his residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA and was honored to be selected as the Chief Resident during his final year of training for the ophthalmology program. During Dr. Trevino's time in Georgia, he worked closely with specialists in all fields of Ophthalmology learning the latest techniques to provide the best care, with the safest, most reliable and innovative technology in the industry. After graduation, Dr. Trevino and his family moved back to Texas to be closer to family and friends. With his training, experience, exceptional surgical skills Dr. Trevino is able to provide medical and surgical treatments for conditions such as cataracts, dry eye, glaucoma, and diabetes, as well as performing eyelid surgeries. An avid Longhorn and Spurs fan, he also enjoys spending time with his family and friends hunting, fishing, cooking/grilling, watching sportss, and being outdoors. Dr. Trevino considers it a blessing to work in eye care and especially enjoys the long-term patient-physician relationship ophthalmology affords. "

I would highly recommend Dr. Trevino to anyone looking for an Opthalmologist. He recently provided me with new Sight with Cataract surgery for both eyes. Dr. Trevino was exceptional throughout the entire procedure. Highly recommend!!!
