Dr. Stern is the BEST because he is patient to explain the diagnosis and empower the patient with knowledge. He does the latest state of the art procedure for cervical spines. His procedure without fusion has much better recovery, range of motion and almost immediate restoration in muscle strength. Dr. Stern is very funny too and pays attention to specific details. He is sure to answer your questions too so be sure to write them down!

I had a ruptured disc that forced me to basically lay in bed or in a recliner all day to avoid pain. Dr. Stern performed Arthroplasty on my C5/C6 and C6/C7. Just like he promised I walked out of the hospital on my own 24 hours later. 2 weeks after surgery I was back playing golf 5 days a week pain free. He’s an absolutely amazing surgeon and I would recommend him to anyone. I still can’t believe how fast recovery was and I owe it all to his work. Thank you Dr. Stern.

I was referred to Dr. Stern by my cancer Dr. due to a high amount of pain, I was experiencing from the cancer location. Made a appointment with his office and found the staff to be helpful and pleasure to work with. Dr. Stern is very much, a Man who cares for his patients. He was very kind and explained the procedure in detail and how the pain pouch worked. I had to go into the hospital for him to install the pouch. I believe without out his professional, caring and recommendations, I would not of been able to make it thru the chemo/radiation treatments as well and without the pain. I highly recommend him as a great Doctor, that should be on your team. There are lots of doctors to choose from, but having the Best makes you feel secured. It’s bad enough what you are experiencing; but having a great doctor takes away the unneeded worries,

Dr. Stern was the attending neurosurgeon when I was ambulanced to the hospital for a back injury from a horse riding accident. He saved me from surgery that was recommended by the trauma doctor. He spent extra time reviewing all of my scans and determined that a brace would be a better outcome than surgery. I believe any other younger, less experienced doctor would have just happily cut me open. He also came to check on me everyday in the hospital and brought me words of encouragement, great stories and needed conversation. Never rushed. He stopped by one time after I failed to stand up, after the PT tried to get me up and I kept feeling faint. He told me to "just get up", "worst case you will fall, and I will catch you!". With that encouragement, I got up, and was able to walk and was able to leave the hospital and go home the next day. Thank you so much Dr. Stern for putting my needs ahead of everything else.
