I heard my 90 yr old dad complain that Dr. Stern doesn't give him the time of day nor listens to his complaints, so I decided to see for myself. I went with him to a followup Nuclear Stress Test. I believe Dr. Stern gave us about 3 minutes for the appointment, seemed very annoyed by my questions. He seemed indifferent, uncaring, treated my dad like a number. Yes, my dad is hard of hearing, old, and doesn't understand English super well, but my English is perfect. He prescribed a medication that isn't good for my dad and had poor communication, actually lack of communication back to us regarding what to do. Then he said it would not negatively impact my dad, which it states explicitly if you have liver or kidney issues, don't take, but he said take. He referenced that my dad is old. Yes, but he still wants a good quality of life. I don't find Dr. Stern caring whether my dad is harmed or not, lives or dies. Maybe it's time for Dr. Stern to retire.
