Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Shukhman "My patients are the ultimate decision makers. My role is to let the patient know what is in the textbook, what I saw in my practice, what are the standards of care and what I can offer beyond these standards. I let my patients know my opinion about the next step to take, but, in most cases, I trust the patient to chose.

My prescriptions often combine medications with vitamins, supplements, medical food etc.

In treatment, we will focus not only on anxiety, mood or addictions, but also on sleep, hormones, sex, appetite, weight, energy level, inflammation etc., as this frequently lay at the root of the problem or, at least, can affect the problems that traditionally are called psychiatric. I believe that the body functions as a whole, and, if my patient is interested, I will offer to address the other parts and functions of the body that can potentially affect how we feel and think. "

What People Say About Dr. Mark Shukhman, MD
After a lifetime of seeing doctor after doctor for both physical and mental health issues and receiving no relief due to their cookie cutter approach to healthcare, I stumbled upon a paper written by Dr. Shukhman regarding the use of LDN for mental health issues. I live out of state, but his office...Read More

Thanks to the honest, caring professional Dr. Shukman, I am alive and well. He helped to wean me off of the dangerous mind-altering meds, especially that wicked Klonopin prescribed to me by by a previous Psychiatrist who did NOT explain the risks involved and link to suicides. I had suffered the...Read More
