Save your time, money and health and find a different neurologist. Although I appreciate a “tell it like it is” doctor, what I don’t appreciate is one who is rude, condescending and humiliating. Was assigned him at LMC. Did not listen to symptoms, my medical history or my family’s. Ridiculed me in front of students when I asked questions. Gave no real answers. Zero lack of confidence in my diagnosis. He is uncaring and dismissive. Surprised he can fit his giant head through the door.

After going through a glioblastoma discovery, brain seizure , followed by a craniotomy , I have seen Dr. Ritch on several occasions . Along with many other “ specialists “. He has always been extremely forthright , up front , direct and honest with me , things I truly appreciate, especially from a doctor , under these conditions. I have not once left an appointment with him , disappointed or disillusioned with his help , advice or care . Nor , endured needless time wasted in a waiting room .

Dr. Ritch is just the right Dr. for me. I have heard that folks find him arrogant, I would say that Dr. Ritch tells it as it is. He is not into throwing medication at a problem if there might be a way to fix an issue with exercise and diet. I like that he is straight forward and will answer any questions that I have that are pertinent to the issue at hand. He is extremely bright and well trained in the field of Neurology.

Assigned Dr. Ritch while in the hospital for an MS flare. He came into my room and told me that there was nothing wrong with me. I started asking questions. He was very rude because "what didn't I understand about there is nothing wrong with me" and told me that I needed a psychiatrist not a neurologist, and he had never even met me before. He wrote notes that I was angry because I wanted to have MS. He told me that everyone that had read a scan in 4 years was wrong. He is arrogant & rude.

He is arrogant, does not listen because he makes up his mind immediately based on no real information, over orders tests to bill more, rude, horrible office receptionist, etc. My father had the same opinion when he went to a visit with me.

If you are assigned this neurologist in the hospital, IMMEDIATELY request another doctor. I was assigned this 'doctor' at LMC to treat an apparent TIA. His bedside manner was one of arrogance and annoyance. His exam consisted of rude, curt one-word answers to my questions, asked me to touch my nose with my index finger and that was it! After discharge, I found another neurologist quickly as my symptoms continued. She immediately ordered an EEG which showed I was having continuous seizures.

Please do not go to this doctor. He bills you on treatments he has not even done. I asked for other options (holistic ones) for the symptoms I was having. He provided none. Only the ones that would jack up the price. All about the money at this place. He rushes you in and out as his time is more valuable than yours. Find a better doctor.
