Dr. Parrella did an ORIF on my left knee tibial plateau fracture. He said it would take 3 months to heal. Although it was a long and agonizing wait, I did what I was advised to do. After 3 months he ordered to physical therapy. 5 weeks later, I am walking again! Thank you Doc for all of your help! I will always remember u for the rest of my life.

Dr. Parrella's P.A. showed me an X-ray that was not actually mine and pressured me to schedule surgery immediately. I told him I wanted a 2nd opinion because the ER doctor had showed me a clean break that did not require surgery. He seemed inconvenienced by my questions and his assistant proceeded to try to talk me into surgery. I never interacted with Dr. Parrella directly, but his staff was intent on surgery. A 2nd ortho took a new Xray and showed a clean fracture requiring no surgery.

My experience with Dr. Parrella as a surgeon at the Lakeway Medical Center was excellent. But, I can't say the same for his staff and my involvement with Orthodpaedic Assoc of Central Texas. This office is super busy. I had an experience in which he was the surgeon contacted to handle my case at the hospital. Then follow up visits at the office were terrible. The communication from the admin staff and medical assistant was horrible.

I had a bad proximal humerus fracture, broken into several pieces. Dr. Parella reconstructed it through ORIF. Two years layers I have full mobility and functionality, thanks to his skill. I am very grateful for having my arm back and avoiding permanent disability, which was quite possible.

He should have done a full hip replacement instead of partial according to two other doctors. Also the stem was placed wrong so my foot was turned out. Dr. Parella basically said that's just the way it is. I just had a revision surgery by another doctor after going through 1 1/2 years of pure misery. I would not recommend this doctor!
