On my first visit, I thought Dr. Harriman competent but a little distant. On every visit since, he has been personable, approachable, and even witty. He briefly outlined the surgery I needed. When I asked for details, he brought out my x-ray and a model and explained the whole procedure. He is a good doctor and a skilled surgeon.

I guess he might be a good doctor as long as you are going to him and using private insurance. My husband was sent to him by the Workman’s Comp insurance company. He only spent a few minutes time with him and totally ignored the mri report that my husband brought with him. Even though the mri report showed his severe stenosis (which the neurosurgeon wanted to operate and fix with fusion) he wrote a report and called my husband a malinger. A malinger is defined as someone faking an illness.

He is hands down the most approachable physician I have ever been around! Incredible bed side manner. He not only cared about my diagnosis but cared about me as a person.
