Dr. Mark Hadley is a miracle worker. I had a spinal fusion surgery from another Dr on Feb 20, 2020, that failed miserably and put me in a wheelchair. Dr. Hadley performed what can only be described as a miracle and fused S-1 through L-4 vertebrae. He is the top 1% of all neurosurgeons in America. I thank God for Dr. Hadley every day because he allowed me to stand and walk again. There is no better doctor than Dr. Hadley.

I found out I had a meningioma on my spinal cord taking up 80% of my spinal canal that could paralyze me any day. I was told it was inoperable and a very rare case. I quickly was scheduled appointments to see doctors willing to work on me. A doctor at John Hopkins told me I would at the least be paralyzed and possibly not even make it through the surgery. Meetings with various surgeons left me uneasy and terrified. I then came to found Dr. Mark Hadley. I endured an 8 hour surgery removing the tumor and replacing my cervical spine. I woke up to realize I was paralyzed on my whole right side and had nerve damage on the left side that hinders my ability to feel pressure, pain, or temperature. Dr. Hadley checked on me every single day. His church prayed for me on Sunday& he called me after. 10 years later I recently saw Dr. Hadley and I left there with perspective. Looking at me now you would never know I had a surgery! Forever grateful to be here and forever thankful for Dr. Mark Hadley.

I am a disabled veteran and was in the early stages of becoming paralyzed when I was referred to Dr. Mark Hadley. He successfully and skillfully performed my surgery, a dorsal cervical 3-4, 4-5, 5-6 and 6-7 laminectomy with cervical 2 – thoracic 2 internal fixation and fusion. The results were amazing. Prior to this operation I was really wheelchair bound and now I am able to stand straighter and use a walker for short periods. My excruciating back pain has been relieved and this has only been a few months since the operation. I hope to get even better with my continued OT and PT. I would highly recommend Dr. Hadley. He is an excellent surgeon and he really cares about his patients. After the surgery he was there to check on my daily progress and to answer any questions I might have. I also cannot say enough about his PA, David Aldrich. He was extremely hardworking, caring and compassionate. He came in every single day to check on me and make sure I was healing well.

Its not hard for me to say how happy and relieved of pain I am after being referred to Dr. Hadley and his staff. I had surgery on May 9th and within 29 days I was back on the golf course after he corrected my problem in the cervical area. He and his staff, all of them, are "top notched". They are very very professional, courteous, & kind. They were also very willing to listen to my list of questions. It was also comforting to know that Dr. Hadley believes that the Lord looks over him and guides him as he performs these delicate surgeries. From the bottom of my heart, I owe Dr. Mark Hadley and his staff a huge THANK YOU for what they did to get rid of my neck pain. Thank YOU Dr. Mark.

There are no words to describe how wonderful it is to have Dr. Hadley and David Aldrich as your team to guide you through the experience of needing a Neurological procedure. I have never experienced the kindness and genuine concern for my health issues and being there for me and my family throughout the entire process. David Aldrich is one of the nicest and most dependable, compassionate man that I have ever met. Dr. Hadley performed a Cervical fusion on me 10 years ago after several failed attempts by other “surgeons” in my area, I have been pain fred ever since. In a week, Dr. Hadley will perform a Lumbar Laminectomy on my L4-5 and S1, I am at total peace knowing that I am in the hands of God and I’m my opinion , one of the best Neurosurgeons in the world.

In this new corona virus age of alternate physician visits, I just had my first "telephone visit" with Dr. Mark Hadley, a neurosurgeon at UAB. It was a valuable experience for me, as he and his nurse practitioner, Linda, were able to show me the MRI results of my cervical spine over the phone. He talked me through the diagnosis and my options for treatment. Dr. Hadley performed a successful spinal fusion procedure on my lumbar spine approximately a year ago, so I trust his judgment and skill implicitly. That surgery was life changing to me. The treatment and care I received through Dr. Hadley and his staff, both last year through surgery and this telephone visit today, makes me confident that I have chosen the best neurosurgeon possible for a successful outcome to my spinal issues.

Dr. Hadley and his entire team are awesome. Amazing care. I daresay the best physician I've ever worked with. While compassionate, he is also direct and doesn't push you to anything - he just lays out the facts. And he is humble - gives credit to God for his gifts and is a praying man. I am so impressed. And the best part? My back pain is gone! Successful surgery for spinal stenosis as well as fusing my L4 and L5 and I am pain free for the first time in years. Thank you Dr. Hadley, David, Linda and the entire team at UAB Neurosurgery!

My experience with Dr. Hadley was exceptional from Day 1! He truly cares about his patients and it shows. He actually listened to me; did not dismiss me like other physicians had; and made himself available to answer any follow up questions after my appointments. He wasn't quick to rush into surgery. Even though I did end up having surgery, I felt 100% confident in the decision, his team, his expertise and care! I am beyond grateful for Dr. Hadley and would highly recommend him!!

If we could give Dr. Mark Hadley more than five stars we would do so without reservation. Dr. Hadley's exemplary surgical skill restored my husband's quality of life and physical strength. His knowledge and expertise have allowed my husband to once again sleep through the night and be free from the considerable and constant pain he'd been in. The complicated and healing surgery he performed without any complications, the kindness he's showed us, and the truly heartfelt care that Dr. Hadley has provided are gifts we can only repay with our deepest gratitude and highest respect. Dr. Hadley always focused on us, listened to our concerns, explained results and films, and answered questions. Showing the highest level of respect for the health and well-being of his patients, Dr. Hadley will "tell it like it is" and advise the best options. My husband has received the finest and most respectful care, not just from Dr. Hadley, but David Aldrich, PA-C and Linda Davis, CRNP. Highly recommend!

Dr. Hadley performed a lumbar fusion of L3-S1. What I liked best was that he treated me like family. He was kind, caring, communicative, and encouraging. His superb surgical skills gave me back my quality of life. After three months, I was back in the gym working out. After six months of recuperation, I enjoyed hiking the Oregon trails and climbing the giant sand dunes along the Oregon coast with my family. His unassuming spirituality and his genuine humanity touched my heart and contributed to my healing. Because I have experienced excellent therapeutic results from Dr. Hadley's surgical skills, I consider him to be the world's best neurosurgeon! If you have to have back surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Mark Hadley!
