Dr. Mark Gittleman leads the celebrated Coordinated Health Breast Center with Dr. Cara Guilfoyle. The center won the 2015 Healthcare Hero award for women's health and wellness, a recognition presented each year by Lehigh Valley Business' independent panel of healthcare leaders to the person or group in the greater Lehigh Valley making the biggest difference in the field.

Dr. Gittleman has been practicing general surgery in the Lehigh Valley for more than 30 years, but in 1995 decided to restrict his practice exclusively to the surgery and disease of the breast. In addition to being a board-certified surgeon, he is certified in breast ultrasound and stereotactic interventional breast procedures by the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

Dr. Gittleman is a frequent speaker at professional meetings discussing topics such as image-guided breast surgery and breast brachytherapy. He is also a principal clinical investigator in a number of clinical trials regarding the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. He is involved in a number of professional organizations including The American Society of Breast Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
