If you are trying to find a colorectal doctor, please do not look any farther. You found him! I am about to celebrate 10 years NED because of Dr. Gilder. When diagnosed with Stage IIIa colon cancer at the age of 41, he performed a sub-total colectomy. Was out of the hospital in 2.5 days. Other than what is to be expected post-surgery, I have lived a vibrant, healthy, active life because of Dr. Gilder (and my entire medical team). He was so concerned about my family history of Lynch Syndrome that the decision to remove all of my colon was an easy one. I cannot say enough about how kind and caring he is. Best to you!

I had very acute prolapsed hemmoroids, and Doctor Gilder provided me with the relief that I had been putting off for over 10 years. I liked that he was very direct and candid about the pain I would be experiencing post surgery. He didn't "sugarcoat" or brush over the discomfort I would be feeling. I think this helped me to mentally prepare myself for the recovery, which took about 2 weeks as a whole. In my pre surgery and post surgery appointments, he was always very attentive.
