I had a very pleasant experience with Dr. G.and his staff. They took the time to really listen and he(Dr. G) recommended the most conservative treatment.

My son hurt his knee in high school football and after seeing our primary care doctor and getting an MRI, we were referred to Dr. Ghilarducci. My son's coach was urging us to see a different doctor because he felt he was "the best". I compared ratings of both docs. The other doc was "nicer" and had a higher average score. But, he had some ratings about misdiagnosing. It seemed that the only real complaints about Dr. Ghilarducci were that his bedside manner wasn't the best but his knowledge and experience were top notch and that's what mattered to me. He said my son had a torn meniscus and cautioned that only about 10% of cases can be repaired and heal. Most of the time they just clean it up. But, even this is necessary and he highly recommended surgery. A few days later, we were in surgery. The surgery center was very professional. The best news was that we were one of the 10% and his meniscus was repaired. I'm very thankful for Dr. Ghilarducci and his staff.

I originally saw Dr. G to seek a second opinion regarding shoulder surgery. I liked his cautious approach to surgery. Other options for treatment were tried. My surgery went well and he was pleased with the result. He can be a little gruff but his focus is on your treatment and how you are feeling. I would recommend him to anyone needing an orthopedic surgeon.

I originally scheduled my appointment to obtain a second opinion. As it turned out, he was my only opinion. Fortunately for me, no surgery required so I can but review my impressions. The staff and Dr. "G" were very attentive and understood my concerns. Appointment was thorough. I was very impressed with the entire experience at this medical facility. If I weren't covered by the VA I would definitely feel at ease under his/their care. Thank yo all very much.

Dr. Ghilarducci did knee replacement surgery on both knees. It is so great to walk with no pain. I am very happy with the outcome. The whole Ventura Orthopedics experience was very professional and caring- Doctor Ghilarducci, Marilyn and the office staff, the x-ray technician, and Rachel and the physical therapy department.

We have been extremely pleased with Dr. Ghilarducci. He performed two surgeries to repair my teenage daughter’s knee. She had a torn meniscus and a torn ACL. He has been very patient and understanding with her. He answers all of her questions, has provided and explained detailed images from her surgeries, and is thorough and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Ghilarducci.

Dr. Ghilarducci went above and beyond to fix my broken ankle, skipping his lunch hour to see me the first time and then doing my surgery after hours. I can walk today on an ankle that was shattered and looked hopeless to me, thanks to him and my therapists. He was kind and skillful, and I am grateful!

After my surgery I still had pain in my knee. He told me at my age I had to get use to it. After several weeks of physical therapy I was still unable to walk without pain and a limb. I sought a second opinion and learned I had a fracture in my knee which was causing the pain.

Dr G is the most dismissive, pompous, arrogant doctor I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. When I was at pain levels of 8 and 9 and I was aware I had a serious injury he put me through treatments that I had either already had or didn’t require, refusing to order an MRI. I feel for his patients. I beg those of your reading this, please save yourself the pain, anguish, despair and depression this doctor could cause you if you have a serious injury, please don’t let him treat you!
