This doctor has a terrible bedside manner and completely undermines reported symptoms, and relies on labs from months ago. Last I checked, some labs can change (inflammation, cbc, etc.) Took five months to get in, so of course I may no longer be having symptoms at that point in time! Joked about my multiple bruises and said, "you have to be kinder to yourself."

His prescriptions (mixture of medications) have been questioned by three pharmacists and one other doctor, so far. He refuses to consider any other course of treatment and basically does not appear to ever wish to explain either my condition or discuss his decisions. In other words, he is not candid and his treatments for 2+ years have not been very effective.

I have been seeing Dr. Getz for about twenty years for my RA after leaving another rheumatologist who was not helping me. Dr. Getz in my estimation is an amazing doctor and a caring person. He is the one who keeps me going because if somethings isn't working well for me, he doesn't hesitate to try something else. He is cautious but somewhat aggressive in his mindset for treatment. He might be difficult to get an appointment with, but that just tells me everyone knows what a great doctor he is.

He is really friendly and helpful. I have a rare and deadly disease which he explains and treats thoroughly. I went in there scared the first visit and left feeling safe. My mom needed a rheumatologist and she went to see Dr. Getz as well knowing how great he truly is. It is worth it to drive an hour and a half to see him.
