Did emergency surgery on my mother and wouldn’t even look us in the eye when he came out to update us about the surgery. He sealed the records so we couldn’t have other doctors review them. After we did manage to get a hold of them another surgeon said he’d never had a doctor seal records before and the records were so convoluted and sloppy that no one could make sense of them. Be VERY CONCERNED if you have him scheduled to operate on you or someone you know!!!

I truly enjoyed this doctors care for my daughter. We had to go back around 3 or 4 times and still he was not one to get frustrated or up set he continued to focus and stay diligent in getting her issued handled. I am proud to say that she has not had a problem since. Thanks Dr. Epstein!

Dr Epstein is very good at what he does, surgery wise. Bedside manner can be improved. But that's why he gets 4 out of 5 stars. It was many years ago that he performed surgery on me, and although he did an excellent job, I can still remember how unfriendly he was. It's not about making friends with your surgeon, I get that, but his bedside manner is raw and he's in a big hurry to move you out so he can get his next case. In my opinion, there's always time and room for being friendly.

Dr. Epstein did my colostomy and reversal in 2001. While it was necessary to do the colostomy conventionally, he performed the reversal laparoscopically. Two days later I was dismissed from the hospital and have had no colon issues since. Great doctor!

I was scheduled for a follow-up appt, post-surgery. It's a 45 minute drive from work to the doc's office. When I arrived for my appt, the ladies at the front desk informed me that the doc was gone, having never returned from a trip. They told me that I had been notified via my cell phone. So I looked through my cell phone calls and messages. There was absolutely no notification! Rather then offering any kind of apology, they continually put the blame on me, insisting I had been notified. Bad PR!

Gall bladder surgery. Other surgeon in office ran too many tests and left me in pain. Dr. Epstein knew it was gall bladder disease from the start and was correct. Had gall bladder removed and my pain is gone.
