A recent patient experience raised issues that are important ones. I am glad the individual took the time to share this, and will do the same with my staff. No patient should wait an inordinate amount of time for a scheduled appointment. I too, have experienced this as a patient.

I had a complicated operation which two other specialists said were beyond their ability. Dr. Delacure was recommended to me. It was not only successful, but I can now eat regularly again without trouble. Dr. Delacure also fully explains the procedure; answers all questions to your satisfaction; is personable and seems to genuinely care about his patients. I highly recommend him.

Dr Delacure was great. He just did surgery for me on 6/24 and he was so patient with me. I would recommend him to all my friends and family! Always caring and follows up and staff was really great too!

Dr. Delacure is experienced, professional and an expert at surgery. That said, he is also brusk with a poor bedside manner and his office accountability is terrible. Both times I've seen him I've waited over an hour and the last time he was still in surgery during our scheduled appt and no one told me until I specifically requested to find out how delayed he would be. I get that he's good at his job, but there are many others who are as well without all the attitude and wasted time.

I am trained as an Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon, Head and Neck Oncologic Surgeon, and fully-trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and actively combine aspects of all of these specialties in operative procedures each week. This combination is rare, and uniquely gives a perspective in the same individual that can optimize oncologic, functional and aethetic outcomes.

On days where scheduled surgery precedes office hours, or emergency add-on surgery is needed, or the response to another colleague's intraoperative crisis arises, our scheduled hours may be impacted. We make every effort to be on-time, but the unpredictability of surgery is such that, at times, we cannot be. Every effort is made to keep all parties informed, and we will endeavor to do a better job of this. Do not misinterpret playing catch-up with being brusk or having an attitude - it may simply reflect the effort to respect everyone's time. It is a position I try to avoid, as it compromises many.

I'm certain you will find our new staff members fantastic. Towards continual improvement, and your health ... MDD
