I have a long history of skin cancer and have had several procedures done for basal and squamous cell. I have been going exclusively to Skin Cancer Specialists and Dr. Chastain and his staff for over 10 years. They are all personable, helpful, professional ... They explain everything in detail and then give you detailed information to take home! I recommend them all the time. Just had another MOHS procedure yesterday and went like the others ... very smoothly! Dr. Mark Chastain is the very best!!

I was referred to Dr. Chastain by my dermatologist. I was worried and asked if I should go to a plastic surgeon to have it closed or if the results would be the same if he did it. He replied: “I can tell from talking to you for 5 minutes that you won’t be happy no matter what I do, and when I have patients like you, I tell them to go to a plastic surgeon so when you don’t like the results, you won’t be mad at me”. I was shocked. I was looking for an honest assessment of the best outcome.

The initial staff and PA were great. Unfortunately I first met Dr. Chastain moments before I was to have a surgical procedure. I always meet with my surgeons prior to having any surgical procedures to understand the procedure, outcomes and what to expect but not here. Dr. Chastain does not like to be questioned. My insurance and I pay very good money for professional services but Dr. Chastain has the disposition that he wants to get through with you and move on the next procedure.
