I love Dr. Avart! Have been too many surgeons for orthopedic issues, he is the first too listen, guide me in the right direction, helped me walk normal again. After many years of a bad left knee, surgery from a big ortho firm (Rothman) with no help. Dr Avart gave me back my life. I can walk again! He's personable, respectful, is there anytime you need him. So kind and skilled, after surgery you are still his patient, not cut open and sent on your way. Would highly recommend Dr Avart!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Avart since 2012 after a car accident and he has been a blessing, he has done everything he possibly can to fix my knee issues and he never pushed anything , shots , medicine on me, he makes sure you are well informed of all treatments, all test results , each step that he see fit to go forward with that will benefit you the patient. I have been telling him to just take my knee give me a new one but he won't and I appreciate his reasoning. I thank him for all he does

Iam a physical therapist who suffered an injury that has required four separate surgical procedures. I've had numerous patients who would rave about Dr. Avart and their satisfaction with him. That being said, I did not fully understand the extent of their happiness until he became MY treating physician/surgeon. He is by far the most knowledgeable, informative, caring and personable orthopedic surgeon that I have EVER encountered- UNEQUIVOCALLY! I would recommend him without hesitation to ANYONE.

I've been seeing Dr. Avart for the better part of 25 years now. He has performed numerous procedures on both my knees. I find him very professional and extremely talented as a surgeon. I normally see him at the NE Philly office and his staff there are great also.
Newtown Square, PA |
Dr. Avart performed an emergency surgery on my completely severed anterior tibialis tendon. I was lucky that he was available and so terrific.

From the time of first visit to the time you are discharged, you are treated with respect and dignity. Very freindly staff.
Horsham, PA |
Pretty horrific. Spent 5 minutes with me discussing the background of my pain before ordering an x-ray. Following the x-ray, he barely looked at the film before proceeding to order an MRI and recommending that I have the MRI before considering treatment options but within a split second he proceeded to give me a shot of cortisone. Finally, he shoved a piece of paper in my hand regarding PT exercises and ran away. Will not recommend nor will return for a follow-up.
