Biography

Dr. Alanis is a board certified perinatologist with special interests in severe obesity and weight management in pregnancy, prenatal ultrasound diagnosis, placenta accreta, preterm birth, and diabetes in pregnancy. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, and his fellowship in maternal fetal medicine and master's degree in clinical research at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Alanis is the author of numerous clinical peer-reviewed articles and often lectures on his areas of expertise at both the regional and national level. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and active member in the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Dr. Ananis is AMAZING! He spends the time he needs with each of his patients. He really listens and hears your questions! He is so amazing and he cares about the well being of all of his patients. He is the top of his specialty and knows what he's talking about. I you listen and do what he tells you, you will have wonderful results. I recommend him to anyone that needs to be referred to Maternal Fetal Medicine! You will love him, if you don't you're not listening and doing what he tells you.
