unprofessional people I've ever dealt with. He calls himself a doctor...I would use that term lightly if I were him. He misdiagnosed me and wanted to open me up after misdiagnosing me without even examining me. I then received a bill in the mail for his "services". I sent a dispute to the address that was on THIER bill. They claim they never got my dispute letter even though I have tracking proof from USPS and a name of the person who signed for my letter. They dragged their feet until it went into collections. I've been disputing this since January 2020. Was just told today that corporate denied my dispute for 2 reasons: 1) they never got my original dispute letter 2) I signed an agreement for treatment. Yes, but I never signed an agreement for MIS-treatment. Liars and thieves and horrible doctors and staff!

Horrible. I had a procedure and was sent home without seeing the doctor to speak before or after surgery. The staff failed to call in prescriptions after my surgery. We drove twice to the pharmacy after they told us they would call them in. I had to call to request them and they STILL didn’t do it. I was up the entire night in severe pain. I called again in the morning to ask (our 4th call) and they treated me like dirt and cut me off and hung up, lying that they did call it in. They would pass the blame off to other staff. Honestly the worst treatment I’ve ever received from a doctor’s office. They want to order surgery straight away, and then dump you afterwards. There was no bedside manner from him or his staff, mostly the staff. They truly thought it was a joke to send me home from surgery with absolutely nothing to ease the pain. Please reconsider before you book with this office. They treat you like you’re beneath them and don’t care.

Dr. Alcantera has saved my life, both literally and figuratively. Throughout my life (45 years) I have seen DOZENS of specialists with no answers, no relief nor any concern. In 2018, my new primary doctor referred me to Dr. Alcantera and told me, "If anyone can help you, it is this doctor. If he can't help you, no one can." In the first 5 minutes of my appointment with Dr. Alcantera, I knew he was the answer to my prayers, and I was right. Within 3 short months, he diagnosed my condition and performed surgery. I went from pain, sickness, and misery to actual being able to function and enjoy life. Dr. Alcantera genuinely cares for his patients and is an amazing doctor. 5 stars are not nearly enough!!

Dr. Alcantara is the best surgeon I’ve seen by far! He is very friendly, smart, and knows what he’s talking about. I had diverticulitis and saw two previous doctors and picked Dr. Alcantara because of his confidence and experience. I was home in two days!! Thanks to him, I have no worries and can live happily.

I interviewed three doctors who were highly recommended but found them and their office staff and system to be cold and impersonal. Then I found Dr Alcantara. He let me talk, he listened, asked questions, didn’t rush me and made me feel that I mattered. A colonoscopy can be a scary thing but he and his staff were so caring and considerate that I recommend no one but Dr. Alcantara for tests or treatment.

He assured my dad that his surgery would be simple, the tumor is so small I'm only taking out 1/4in you'll be back to normal in no time. Not true,He got an infection caused by Dr.a not giving him a cleanse b4 surgery which had him in ICU in a coma for 3 week's.was horrible with postop when he did come hme 3 mnt after surgery.Till this day my dad can not control his bowels & is humiliated always. there's nothing any dr can do, since Dr.a cut out to much of his rectum. Mario has been my wife’s surgeon through two surgeries. We have never met somebody who cares more or is as competent of a surgeon. We would like to keep him a secret for just our needs , however that would be wrong. I would recommend his services to anybody that needs the best!

He has an incredible knowledge base & great bed side manner. Not always easy when dealing with Stage 4 Colon Cancer but somehow he gets me through. I would and have recommended my family members to him to get screened!

Doctor was great, but receptionist/staff horrible. Not sure who dropped the ball, but was never told or given information on cream the Doctor wanted me to use. I knew I had to buy the fiber but thought the cream was prescription. & the office has absolutely NO concern for my privacy as a patient. The office needs to take OSHA/HIPPA class before one of the patients, who is not as passive about this matter as me,takes this matter further than an online review. Missed work and $100 my copay wasted
