I believe that a doctor and a patient need to work together to improve the patient's health. A relationship based on truthfulness and trustworthiness is needed to assist one another in providing the best care. Health is about having a balanced physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being so that we have the energy and desire to accomplish our goals and enjoy our time with our family and friends. It's important to me that if a patient receives medicine, they know the reason behind the pharmacological treatment. More importantly, they also know what diet and life style changes they can do to improve the chances of not having to take the medicine in the future. I chose to walk this path when I was 11 years old because I wanted to help people. I know now what this truly means: to listen to people with an unbiased ear, to find the main cause of the pathology and treat accordingly and to empower individuals to live a life of making healthy choices. I spend my free time in activities that help build unified communities, such as neighborhood children's classes and gatherings that bring people of all walks of life together.
