Dr. Hordinsky is hardly knowledgable about alopecia and scalp issues, and the same can be said for most dermatologists. There is absolutely nothing that separates one dermatologist from the rest anymore when it comes to treatments for alopecia. The problem of alopecia has been in existence for so long that as a patient, all you have to do is know how to find reputable information and educate yourself. They will repeat to you everything you already know, but they are supposed to know more! If Dr. Hordinsky is supposed to be one of the best dermatologists for alopecia, then it is completely obvious research has stalled in this area. It is also possible that your not taken seriously as a human being and don't deserve proper care? Pay attention to the pattern you see in these reviews and take it seriously. If this review is harsh, then take a look around and come back to re-read it, so it sounds better. You have no idea how much I would like to be proven wrong, but don't expect improvement

I was referred to Dr Hordinsky because she's supposed to be among the best derms for hair loss. I am so very disappointed!! It takes > 3 months to get an appt & forever for her or her staff to return my calls. HORRIBLE follow up!! She has med students examine me at all of my appts. I do not like that! I feel like a research project!! After >one year she has not diagnosed my condition nor does she have a treatment plan. In the meantime, I'm losing my hair!! If she helps me, I will update my post

Dr. Hordinsky, while highly skilled and experienced, is terrible at follow-up and communication. If you ever have a question or need her assistance outside of an office appointment, you will not get it. She has terrible communication and follow-up skills. Her lack of follow-up has stalled my treatment plan for three months--no progress whatsoever.

Dr. Hordinsky is very knowledgeable about CTCL issues. However, she's also very caught up in the teaching aspect of the university: dividing her attention between the patient and her student. Once she leaves the room anything she discussed with you or said she would do for you is forgotten. Any test results don't appear to be monitored and you never receive a call back telling you about the results or what to do. Notes on MyChart and phone calls go unanswered. Very disappointing.

Dr Hordinsky is very knowledgeable about alopecia and scalp issues. During your appointment she will suggest every possible therapy, even ones not common, to help you. But once you leave the clinic, all help stops there. Any test results that come in will not be monitored. You never receive a call back telling you what to do or scheduling additional therapies that were mentioned during your appointment. If you send a note on MyChart, it goes unanswered (even weeks later). Calling to leave a mess
