I have used Dr Carter for 15 years. She's responsive and thorough. Her staff however are abysmal. Rarely answer the phone, are extremely slow about sending prescription refills and sometimes don't at all. This has caused issues on several occasions. Her staff is actually known at the pharmacies as being lackluster.

Absolutely not! Left two messages with nurse and neither returned. Pharmacy asked for refill on my antidepressant medicine twice and have heard nothing! You are not to call her office for refills it says in her recording on the phone. I have been without it for almost two weeks and can’t speak to anyone in her office. Will she be responsible for the withdrawal systems I am currently having and the moods I am currently fighting? She has suddenly become the worst doctor I have ever gone to and she was not that way 10 years ago. She is rude and sends results in my portal with no answers. The issue with my hair falling out was a joke and I ended up at Mayo Clinic. For years she gave me pain pills for my back and they would last months. Now I get a lecture on her sending me to pain management. She needs to look at my Mayo Clinic records to see how many times I have tried this! Don’t waste your time with her!

Dr. Carter is professional and prepared. She takes the time and care to look over your chart so you don’t have to waste time trying to remember the when, where & what’s. She is quick and to the point. Also great answering questions for someone who does not work in the medical field??

My grandma and my mother used to use Dr Carter until the past several months. My mother couldn’t get in touch with anyone when she called after 3 weeks she finally gave up and got a different primary care physician. My grandmother was hospitalized after falling and breaking multiple bones and her nurses couldn’t get dr Carter or any of dr Carter’s team to call back. Her receptionist was nice but lord help this lady doesn’t get it. Also. The 67 year old man that fell off of Sydney Lanier bridge in March had gone to dr Carter with chest pains and got more or less dismissed if that gives you any indication on how much this lady doesn’t care.

Do not go here. After two visits I am done with her and her rude nurse. Receptionist tried to be helpful, but not being able to get a refill in a WEEK is unacceptable. Dr. Carter has zero personality and was not the least bit helpful when I came in with an allergic reaction to my face. Have you tried an antihistamine she asked. REALLY??? Does not seem to really care about the patient at all. Find someone else.

Dr Carter was very pleasant, polite, she asked questions and listened. She was aware of a surgery I had last year with another Dr in the system (so it means she actually read my information before seeing me). I had my exam and blood work done, explained when I should expect the results and I was on my way. Very happy to find a new Dr in the area and close to home.

Regarding January 30, 2019 note, I had similar phone issues. I went to the office, and found that the old phone number is not forwarding to the new phone number. Since starting to call 466-5985, I've always gotten a response back within the day. So, try 466-5985. Otherwise staff and physician have always been tops.

I can never find the front desk, nurse or doctor available to talk to. I leave multiple messages and sometimes don’t get a reply back. My medication for some reason always has a hold on it and my pharmacy sends faxes to dr. Carter while I try to explain my situation over the answering machine knowing I either won’t get an answer At all or about a week later when I am going through the worse withdrawal symptoms. The front desk is always super rude to me also. I don’t recommend this office to any.

I received a phone call from Dr Carter accusing or what felt being very judgmental about pain medication and possibly abusing Tylenol #3 . She began the conversation about opioid abuse. I am an RN and NEVER abused any pain medication I base my need as to what my pain level is and decide if taking a pain pill is acceptable for my pain scale. I am probably one of the most conservative conscious people I know when it comes to medications. This type of accusations and treatment is wrong and hurtful.

The office blamed labs for loosing my workup, which was not the case. I felt the receptionist and nurse was rude. I genuinely thought I was crazy after being told all was well. A second opinion literally saved my life.
