Most amazing personable office visit that I have had in years. Dr. Wenzel was calming and very attentive to my responses. He asked the pertinent questions, completed an examination and gave me a reasonable plan of care. He's a rare gem and has reignited my motivation to continue with the daily glucose checks and to the necessary lifestyle adjustments for better health.

He actually told me that there is no way I have Graves, Hashimotos, and TED anymore because my thyroid was removed. He upped my dose of Sythroid without testing my tsh and only going from a 8 month old lab from a previous doctor. He calledme back to tell me what test I had run and he only ran my tsh. I was shocked and said wow that is unheard of. He screamed at me and told me "only by you," then he immediately hung up on me. Totally unprofessional, rude, and not up to date with his education.

He is the most caring, helpful wonderful physician I have ever encountered! And being I am a chronically ill patient and on the top of his "most complicated patient list", and have been through countless doctors, I feel i am an expert in this field. I have ZERO doubt that I would not be alive without this man continuing to find answers. I wish I could write a bad review just so I could keep him to myself lol! He is the best! He takes time and LISTENS to me! He researches! He cares!

I found him very condescending both times I visited him. He rolled up the second time with his sun glasses on(never took them off). And when my A1C came back a little high (7.8) he said "Well you are out of your honeymoon period, now just do better". I don't believe it is my fault if my insulin levels still need to be adjusted. Also, he asked me about my job I told him I was a server but I just graduated with a theatre degree and his response back was"Oh, so you are going to be a server forever"

Best doctor ever! Takes an incredible amount of time and reviews patient charts prior to appointment. Excellent advice and caring person.

He prescribed me the wrong insuline.it took another visit with another Dr. a month later for an unrelated condition to find out that i was taking the wrong insuline for over a month.when i called him to inform him about it he was arrogant about it,refused to admit he made a mistake.even when he re-prescribed what he really intended over the phone.he didnt give the courtesy to choose between pen needles or viles.i assumed they were pen needles.when i got home found out they were viles.$150 wasted
