Incredible Doctor!
We were truly blessed (and very lucky) to have Dr. Pelletier operate on my father for a recent open-heart procedure. From the very moment he walked into the room to talk with my dad and me, I knew that we were in the midst of a very special doctor. I've never seen a physician that displayed so much compassion and heartfelt (no pun intended) interest in a patient before. He sat next to my dad on the bed and treated my father like they were lifelong friends explaining in great detail the issues with my dad's heart. And, more importantly, how he proposed to repair it! I recorded the session for my family so they could hear exactly what Dr. Pelltier was saying and everyone who listened to the meeting was awestruck on his overall demeanor, knowledge and amazing communication skills. . We would like to thank Dr. Pelletier, his team of doctors that helped him perform the surgery and the dedicated and amazing staff at UH for taking such good (no, great) care of our dad.

I first met Dr. Pelletier in May after I received the terrifying diagnosis that my aortic valve was failing and that I would need open heart surgery. Dr. Pelletier was an absolutely ideal combination of professionalism and empathy. He described my problem and told me what the possible fixes were, then let me decide how we would proceed. Five minutes into the conversation I knew he would be the one to do my surgery. The care that I received from Dr. Pelletier and his team was absolutely world class. I cannot recommend this man highly enough. He saved my life, but he also gave me the courage to see it through, and that counts for a lot.

We had scheduled my by-pass surgery in hopes that I would heal quick enough to go to our daughters wedding in California…and he and his team made this hope a reality. I feel great and appreciate all the heart specialty team did and all of the other UH medical staff. Not only is Dr.Pelletier an amazing Heart Surgeon…..he’s also a genuinely nice person. Myself and my family are grateful.

My experience with Dr. Pelletier and his staff has been excellent. I have a number of medical issues that complicated my surgery and follow up treatments. Dr. Pelletier explained to me my risks for a quintuple bypass, and clearly described my challenges after surgery. The surgery went very well and the recovery exceeded everyone's expectations. I am extremely grateful that I was able to find a doctor of Dr. Pelletier's abilities.

I can literally say that Dr. Pelletier gave me my life back. I was not able to function because of Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy. At 59 years old everything I did made me out of breath and lightheaded to the point of passing out. Six weeks after a septal myectomy I feel like a new man, 20 years younger and able to handle anything. Just had my 6 week post op with Dr. Pelletier. He spent a good 30 to 40 minutes with my wife and I asking and answering questions. Who does that nowadays? He does! This guy is the real deal, professional to the point of being able to save lives yet down to earth and caring beyond words. These are the real heroes in this world!

My entire experience with the medical staff, the hospital staff and Doctor Pelletier and his staff was outstanding. All the processes were laid out for me and I knew exactly what was going to take place at all times. All my questions were answered and most of the time by the individuals that I asked the question of. I didn't have to wait for them to find some one who could answer the question. I appreciated Dr. Pelletier reviewing the procedure with me the afternoon before, he made me feel very comfortable about the operation and his team and what I was going to experience over the next days/weeks. This was also the first time in my experiences that the surgeon who performed the operation actually did the postoperative visit. Usually that has been done by another doctor or a Nurse Practitioner. That showed me that Dr. Pelletier and his team are really invested in the care of their patients.

My Husband Mike went in for a Stint and the Blockage was so Severe that they kept him at Ahuja until the surgery. Three days later he was having a Double Bypass on his Heart. Mike's Lungs are not that great so things were a little nerve racking. The people at Ahuja Hospital's 4th Floor Heart Care was the BEST! We felt like Family there as they took care of my Husband, Mike. Dr. Pelletier came in before the Surgery Twice to Check on us. We felt so much Better after he explained what was gonna happen. Dr Pelletier was so Nice and explained everything that he was gonna do. He also assured me that they would let me know as the procedure was happening. The entire Heart Surgery to Pre -op and Post-op were really great from the entire Staff. The Doctor was so nice and made us feel a lot Better for the Surgery. Thank You to everyone that had a hand in taking such Great Care of my Husband , Mike!

Dr. Pelletier was my cardiac surgeon at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio in January. He is a compassionate and caring doctor. He was knowledgeable and thorough in the pre-op meeting with my wife and me. He explained the procedure he was doing and took the time with us to answer all our questions. Never felt like he was rushing off to do the next item on his schedule. I felt very comfortable having him as my surgeon. He did six coronary artery by-pass graphs on my heart. I received excellent care in the ICU following surgery and was discharged 5 days post surgery. Met with one of the nurses for a post op checkup two weeks after surgery to determine how I was doing, Standard operating procedure at University Hospitals. Then met with Dr. Pelletier 5 weeks post op for an examination. Again he took the time to answer all our questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Pelletier.
