Dr. Otten is a talented surgeon, and a compassionate person. It was so scary when I was first told I had a tumor, and Dr. Otten made me feel so comfortable that we had a plan, and that I was in the best of hands. I went home the day after surgery, and MRIs over the years since surgery have shown no more tumor. I am so fortunate and grateful to have found him, and am writing this so that others can benefit from this gifted doctor.

IF I COULD GIVE 10 STARS I WOULD! I had a seizure 4 years ago that was caused by a meningioma. The meningioma grew over time and edema became an issue. Dr. Otten precisely diagnosed my condition and the extent of the procedure required. Four personal doctors (2 relatives and 2 close friends) all said that Dr. Otten should perform the operation. I went into the hospital on a Monday and left Wednesday. During my 2-day stay EVERYONE that recognized Dr. Otten’s name as my surgeon commented how capable he is -- one nurse that attended to me related that Dr. Otten saved her father’s life! I am not too quick to give praise but his skill, professionalism, and warm interaction with my family is exceptional. Furthermore, Ann, the office manager, is terrific. She scheduled everything, notified me when an appointment had to be cancelled (due to an emergency procedure that Dr. Otten had to perform) and expressed a kindness that, at times, is needed!

What a wonderful doctor. I was so scared when I found out I had a brain tumor. He made me feel comfortable, explained what would happen next, and did a great job with the surgery. I'm back at work and feel like I did before my symptoms started. Thank you!

I was having trouble getting pregnant, and my doctor found out I had a pituitary tumor. She referred me to Dr. Otten, and he was wonderful. I had surgery, and went home 2 days later. My hormone levels are normal, and my husband and I just had our first child over the winter.

Dr. Otten is a consummate professional who provides laser-sharp descriptions of problems and possible solutions. He conducted spinal surgery on me that eliminated a 6 month bout of near constant pain. He contacted me before surgery to assure that I had questions answered and his follow up has been of great assistance. I can not be more effusive in my praise of his work

Had recent resection of pituitary tumor, process went as smoothly as possible. Dr. Otten is highly regarded in his field. His credentials speak for themselves. Dr. Otten explained the procedure, possible risks and side effects thoroughly. He answered all of my questions during office visits and made himself available to answer any subsequent questions and concerns by phone. He was reassuring and compassionate. Dr Otten performed my laminectomy. I found him informative, professional and very competent. I have not had any surgical complications and have healed much more quickly than I thought. In addition, he saved my back tattoo, which in the scheme of things is a small matter but was a surprising plus.
