Born and raised in Chicago, Dr. Baskin came out to California to attend college at USC. Dr. Baskin returned to Chicago to complete an M.D. degree at the Chicago Medical School, before coming back to California to complete an internship and residency at the UCI Long Beach VA Medical Center.
Dr. Baskin initially studied Internal Medicine, but took the opportunity in 1981 to pursue his passion with a fellowship in Allergy and Immune Diseases. Dr. Baskin likes that as an allergist, he is involved with a variety of organ systems, and that he works with patients of all ages.
