Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Chakka "By training I'm a mechanical engineer and I like analytical stuff, the science part of it is also very exciting. Cardiology is one of the fields where so many things that e do are well-studied and there is a lot of data behind what we do which kind of appeals to me. One of the things that is very, very important to me is help improve quality of life for my patients. And we do have a lot of tools and technology, lots of options for lots of things that we treat. I want to listen to what they're looking for. It's easy for me to jump in and say "this is what I can do" but really listening to the patient, understanding their needs, what they're feeling, what they're trying to improve, what are their quality of life issues. Then I can give them the options of what we can do. I really feel really privileged and I really thank my patients who teach me every day. I want to learn from them every day and do the right thing for them every day and do the best I can. "
