I couldn't get past the person who said she was the lead person in her office. She was horrible to me. She kept saying "We don't prescribe meds here" when I never asked for that. She wouldn't listen to a word I said and repeatedly told me to call another doctor. She raised her voice at me and ended the call by hanging up on me. I'm 65 and can't even remember when I was treated so terrible except by the nurse who had just referred me over there and gave me similar treatment. I was also told that my first visit would be a consultation only and that I would not receive any help with pain. I wanted to ask questions about that but the horrible person on the phone wouldn't let me say anything while she repeatedly belittled me. Finally when I was able to get the question asked with insistance, she first tried to deny that she said i. Then after I said she'd just told me that, how else would I have known it, she admitted saying it. After reading the other reviews and several people say

Rushed, first words out of her mouth were "we don't prescribe meds here"; completely ignored the intern's findings. Wanted to get me out of there as fast as possible, it seemed. Most awful experience ever.

Wish I could give zero stars. Waited to get in to see Dr. Are because I was told we could discuss pain relief options for my lifelong back issues. Instead, the doctor implied all my problems are because I'm overweight and sent me back to physical therapy, which I already told her had caused further serious injury and I had quit. Also, my back pain began when I was young and thinner. Had she bothered to take a complete history, she'd have found that out. Ridiculed the burn marks on my lower back from heating pad use. Only recommendation was an injection in a muscle which probably wouldn't work [her words] and which isn't in my back, or physical therapy. I had to find my own way back out to the lobby in tears. What a waste of time and money; still in pain.

Totally Hopeless – Mar 13, 2020
I waited for over one hour for Dr. Are to appear in my examining room - no one addressed the long wait, including Dr. Are. I was asked a couple of questions by her, no examination performed. The Dr. made an inappropriate remark about the fact that I was retired. She simply informed me that the next step was to schedule an appointment at a different location for a procedure. I received a bill for $500 for this one office visit. Absolutely appalling.
