Absolutely awful care, if you even call it that. She did NOT listen to anything we had to say or address ANY of our concerns. She only spoke to us for 5 minutes after 5!!! Requests to the staff, and then a 5 minute phone call on day of discharge after we called back 4 times prior requesting to speak with her. We were living our worst moments with our child suffering so severely with her mental illness, and this doctor is the OPPOSITE of what any parent should ever have to interact with and ask for help from. She was dismissive, rude, close-minded, and was willing to take massive risks with my child’s health. I will be contacting the AZ state medical board as well as the CEO of the hospital she works at to voice my concerns....as soon as I know my child is safe and treated appropriately on an outpatient basis. I feel bad for the nurses/staff who she works with- they ALL directly said or implied how awful she is to patients, parents and staff alike. This woman is dangerous!!!!!

My child saw dr cohan. She talked down to us, did not like our input or questions. She almost killed my child with her poor judgement and if we were not Stressed dealing with our child's health we would have sought legal action. I am not sure if 9 months is too long to take action now, but I hope this review warns others away from her.

Very disappointed. Treated our adolescent in residential treatment without anymore than a 5 minute phone consultation with us. The information we did provide was noted incorrectly by the Dr. She did not consult with us in person as to our concerns with the release date or aftercare precautions. I really don't like giving negative reviews but when it comes to healthcare we are all looking for the best and as a community we should share experiences such as this.

If I could give less than zero stars I would. This person was the most condescending, dismissive, overbearing, obnoxious and unprofessional MD I have ever encountered. She would draw conclusions using phrases such as you will instead of you could. She made assumptions regarding test results and when called on to provide proof would say I don't know. I haven't looked. That is outrageous. I highly recommend everyone stay far away from her. She is everything a physician should NOT be.

Very little time to explain things. Relatively rude. Did not want to elaborate or explain why certain treatments would be beneficial. Did not want to know patient's background or social history. No one on one conversations with patients.
