This content was provided by Dr. Jasmin "Dr. Luc Jasmin is a board certified Neurosurgeon on staff at Providence Medford Medical Center and Asante Ashland Community Hospital. Dr. Jasmin's clinical expertise includes spinal decompression and instrumentation, trauma and injuries to the brain, spine and peripheral nervous system, brain tumor surgery, shunt placement for hydrocephalus, epilepsy surgery, carpal tunnel surgery, neurosurgical treatments of pain using neurostimulation and intrathecal pumps, and treatment of spasticity using rhizotomies and intrathecal baclofen. Dr. Jasmin is trained in irradiation therapy for tumors, pain, and abnormal movements using the Gamma Knife and stereotactic radiosurgery and conducts neurostimulation for the treatment of abnormal movement. Dr. Jasmin's practice involves close collaborations with oncologists for the treatment of pain in cancer patients, as well as anesthesiologist and orthopedist for non-malignant pain. He also collaborates closely with neurologists, physiatrists and rehabilitation specialist to treat patients with movement disorders and spasticity. Dr. Jasmin is one of the few Neurosurgeons in Oregon to specialize in complex pain management for cancer patients, and draws on his basic and clinical research to bring state-of-the-art treatments to his patients. Prior to moving to southern Oregon, Dr. Jasmin was an attending Neurosurgeon at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles."
