What People Say About Dr. Louis Seade, MD

In May, I fell and shattered my right shoulder when I straight-armed my fall. Dr Seade performed a reverse total shoulder replacement because the upper arm, rotator cuff and two other tendons were destroyed. In just four months, I have full use of my shoulder and arm, great range of motion, and strength near what I had before my fall. Dr Seade was very professional, compassionate, and patient with my questions. I understand now why a physician acquaintance who had broken his shoulder insisted to his staff, "Get me Seade!" Dr Seade is simply the best shoulder surgeon in central Texas. His staff, in particular Ali, is awesome and so helpful. Should I or anyone else I know need a shoulder physician, I will recommend Dr Seade without hesitation!

Dr. Seade is always looking out for my best interests, long term care vs long term treatment. I chose long term care. I'm always reminded how much I want to be actively involved in my grandkids lives, so I chose to take care of my shoulder now before it got much worse. I didn't want to continue with injections that had eventually ran their course. Thank you Dr. Seade for making my whole surgical process a piece of cake!

Dr. Seade performed (left) shoulder replacement in September 2013. He has an excellent ‘bedside’ manner, he is easy to talk to, actually listens carefully, and has never made me feel rushed or in a hurry to get on to the person in the next examining room. I have been seeing Dr. Seade and his PA (Aly) at least once a year since 2013 (to manage pain in right shoulder pending our decision for (right) shoulder surgery). Dr. Seade makes good use of his assistant and for good reason. I need to add that this kind of competence and patient care seems to be embedded in the culture of this medical practice. Dr. Seade’s colleague and partner, Dr. Heinrich, replaced my right hip in May 2013 and my left hip Jan. 2016. My comments about Dr. Seade apply equally to Dr. Heinrich. These guys are top-notch in every way.

Dr. Seade, Performed Total Rt shoulder replacement on me May 2018. My confidence going into and my satisfaction to this day has been beyond my expectations Dr. Seade and his staff are most professional pre-op, during, and post-op. I was Blessed to play American Football for 24 yrs. 7th grade thru 12 seasons in The National Football League. I have many teammates that have had just about every joint surgery/replacement one can have. All of my surgery stories have had beyond satisfaction results. Thank You Dr. Seade and your most capable staff. Blessings Of Strength, Jerry Sisemore

Don’t think I could have done better choosing an orthopedic surgeon for my rotator cuff surgery. Dr. Seade and his team were courteous and caring and made the entire experience as pleasant and relaxing as can be expected. I sincerely appreciate their care.

The staff of Othepedics Specialists of Austin are very rude and incompetent. They do not care about your needs and do not return calls. As for Dr. Seade, VISIT AT YOUR OWN RISK! He used me as a surgical experiment and now I am paying the price. I have seen three other orthopedic surgeons since Seade performed my surgery and everyone of them told me that they would not have done the surgery the way Seade did it. One of them is his partner with Orthopedic Specialists of Austin.

Dr. Seade ruined my shoulder. I went in for a second opinion for a broken collarbone a month and a half old that had already healed. At first sure he said the same thing the ER doc, it's a good break. But after I asked, "You sure?" He took a second look and convinced me to do surgery. Ever since my shoulder has ached like crazy and I can barely use arm because of pain and drooping shoulder. It took 2 years for another doc thru MRI to tell me the trapezius had been cut. Many other problems too.
