This is Dr. Elkins responding to the 02/10/16 review

We are sorry that you feel this way. Patients and family members are informed of possible risks and complications prior to surgery that could arise during surgery. Hospitals keep surgical records which set forth all details of what occurred during surgery and what decisions were made by the surgical team and what consents were given. Complications sometimes arise which involve difficult decisions that must be made in order to save a patient's life. We wish you well for the future.

I would not recommend him as I went in and needed a 6 way bypass during which he bruised my heart and it stopped beating. The installed a pump in my goin which cut off circulation to my leg. My family told the nurses and doctors that I had lost circulation in my leg but they let me lay there until my leg died then tried to ship me off to another hospital to fix their mistakes and amputate the leg.. I would rather take an ambulance ride to another hospital than let him operate on me again.
