What People Say About Dr. Lorraine Smith, MD
Reply
Dr. Smith operated on my sinuses while with Cedars-Sinai, and at that time, used the old-fashioned cut through the upper gum ridge approach. As a direct result, I lost most of my sense of smell and taste. I was not informed that the procedure might produce this result, since sinus surgery is elective. Had I been so informed, I would not have undergone the surgery. Besides being a very nice person, this was a major error on her part. Also, her office staff were not friendly to a Caucasian.
