Dr. Lora Kahn, MD

My daughter was admitted recently after experiencing severe and unique pain at a recent surgery site performed by a different doctor. The first 3 days of her admission they treated her pain and monitored her incision. They were going to refer her back to her previous doctor but accepted our request to transfer to the care of Oschner neurosurgery. At that time they were preparing to discharge her to follow up on an out patient basis when they noticed suspicious drainage on her surgery site dressing. From that point Dr. Kahn and her staff acted expediently to work her up for infection, start IV antibiotics and plan a surgery to access the site and manage the pain hardware she had had installed previously. Dr. Kahn and her team were very detailed oriented and acted expediently and efficiently during her nearly 2 week stay in the hospital. I am grateful for her kindness and expertise and that of her PA team as well.
