I saw Dr Fields yesterday about the severe pain in my right knee. After the X-ray, it showed that the pain was due to the spurs around the right knee and arthritis. He gave me a cortisone shot and said it takes 24 hours for it to take effect. Today I feel much better and realize that I will have to start putting more weight on my leg to get it back to normal since I didn’t go to see the doctor when it first happened eight days ago. I recommend Dr. Fields to anyone with severe pain.

Dr. Fields successfully repaired my torn rotator cuff which actually had 2 full tears. He and his team were incredibly professional and excellent in their care. The office visits before and after the operation were very informative. His empathetic style was super helpful through out the recovery process.

My experience with Athens Orthopedic was exceptional. My appointment needs were met easily and immediately. Dr. Fields provided very competent and personable attention to my knee problem. I give Dr. Fields my highest recommendation any orthopedic needs.

Dr. Fields assessed my meniscus tear immediately. He did a fine job on the surgery. I was up walking the same night. Darn the migraine. I do wish he wasn't involved with AOC.

Dr. Fields saw me when my shoulder pain wasn't relieved by a cortisone shot and PT. He ordered an MRI which showed a complete rotator cuff tear. He repaired it, the torn labrum, and my bicep. He and his nurse, Jessica, were always so approachable, knowledgeable, and kind. I'd recommend him to anyone who wants personalized and caring treatment.

A knee injury sent me to Athens Bone and Joint where I was initially treated by Dr. Fields. He is so awesome! It was decided I needed Arthroscopy to take care of a miniscal tear and some beat up cartilage. He did an amazing job for me. He is kind, compassionate, caring, excellent at what he does and took really good care of me. My knee sent me on a rough journey but Dr. Fields got me through it. I would call on him again in a heartbeat!

Dr Fields and his staff were friendly and super efficient. Imagine getting a consult, xrays and an answer to your health problem in less than an hour, as well as talking to the Doctor (not an assistant) . This actually happened! Surgery the following week (not the following month) and I'm well on the way to recovery. My first post-op visit was just as pleasant and quick. I will (and have) told everyone about

At 39, I had 2 strokes and 2 yrs ago, I had 2 blood clots,but yrs of cheerleading, coaching cheerleading, teaching aerobics, working out, etc, have caused my degenerative osteo arthritis to be severe in both knees. I can only get around in a wheelchair at this point. He was wonderful, and explained my x-rays in detail. He made sure I knew what to expect and he is taking all precautions to make sure I am safe and don't have any complications due to my health issues.I was very impressed with him

Dr. Fields and his staff have taken excellent care of my son. My son has had surgery on one shoulder and is about to have the other shoulder done. I have only great things to say about Dr. Fields. From the first day I had to go see him for my knee which resulted in surgery it was the best experience I've ever had with a doctor. He has a great bedside manner and explains everything in detail never talking over your head and fully answers any questions I had. I would highly recommend Dr. Fields to everyone.
