Dr. Tolnitch is amazing. She has a perception and knowledge that I cannot even explain. She found out what was going on with me even when all the test said benign. She was and is gentle, caring and very attentive. I am very fortunate and blessed to have her. I appreciate her. Her staff is the same way. Dr. Tolnitch knows how to be there for her patients. I wasn't just another number. Her care is very personable.

Dr. Tolnitch did an exceptional job in taking care of me. From the very first visit she explained everything completely and made me feel at ease as much as possible. She and her entire staff were very knowledgeable and compassionate. Her words: "Don't worry, it's all fixable" and it was! I highly recommend her to anyone with a diagnosis of breast cancer.

Dr. Tolnitch is absolutely awesome. I went to see her after my mammogram came back positive for DCIS a couple of weeks ago. She was very nice and informative. She explained everything that she wanted to do for me in great deal. She was very comforting and assured me that things would turn out fine and it did. I just had my lumpectomy done last week and everything went very well. I only had pain for a couple of days. I recommend her to anybody who is dealing with breast cancer. She is the BEST!

Dr. Tolnitch is a very experienced, top-notch surgeon specialized in breast cancer surgery. I read her credentials online and picked her as my surgeon. During a long period of my diagnosis, she talked to me face to face, answered my emails, and went over w/ me her treatment options. She was serious as a surgeon, but very warm as a person. Right after my surgery, she went to the waiting room to tell my family that I did really well. I am very fortunate.

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer I was afraid, nervous and apprehensive about what was going on. I could not have found myself in better care with Dr. Tolnitch. She answered all my questions, reassured me and made me feel completely at ease with the treatment plan outlined for me. She is the “guru” of breast surgeons as far as I’m concerned. A plus was her nurses and the staff at Duke were so nice!!

I was referred to Dr Tolnitch after I had found a lump in my breast years ago. After a little bit of "watch" on this benign lump it started to grow and Dr Tolnitch recommended me have it out. I scheduled my surgery and went in with the upmost confidence I was in the best hands. She came to my bedside and talked to be before I went in for surgery and even after the surgery she was so helpful and caring answering all of my questions. I wouldn't recommend anyone other than Dr Tolnitch!! Thank you!

Dr. Tolnich performed a bilateral mastectomy on me after I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She was always accessible, patient and available to answer questions and allay fears. Her collaboration with her collegues in medical oncology and radiation are informed and up to date. The surgery itself was far less traumatic than I expected and her follow-up was immediate. While she is very candid, she is also compassionate and I felt very prepared for my surgery.

For years ago, my daughter called from college to inform me(her mom) that she had found a lump. After consulting with a primary physician, we were referred to Dr. Lisa Tolnitch. Dr. Tolnitch guided my daughter and i through testing, informing us with diagnosis, and set a plan in motion eventually ending with sucessful surgery. I have been so extremely pleased with her and staff. The compassion, and personal attention was amazing. I WILL highly recommend Dr Tolnitch to anyone! THANK YOU !!

She performs her duty well. But professionalism and bedside manner , big NO. Post surgery, she is gone , no courtesy discharge instruction NADA . Then at a follow up visit, i have been waiting for 40 minutes in the room, then a nice PA came to hand me the result apologetic for the delay. Then tolnitch came in 5 minutes after rushing to check on my surgical site no apology at all , said few words then still talking to me with her back against me as she left . No bedside manner.

Dr Tolnitch is an excellent, dedicated surgeon. With a diagnosis of breast cancer, Dr Tolnitch was the first Dr I contacted. Her exceptional reputation was well documented, and I was glad to have an experienced professional direct my care. With 5 tumors scattered through both breasts, she performed a bilateral mastectomy in a short time schedule at my extreme urging. The care I received from her office staff, both before and after the procedure was outstanding. I would highly recommend her.

I went to see Dr. Tolnitch when my mammogram came back showing a shadow in my breast. She examined both of my breasts and explained to me why the shadow was on the mammogram. I appreciated how she took time with me instead of making me feel like I was just another body.
