I am a second generation Asian American, born here in Denver, Colorado. I have been passionate about medicine and made the decision to pursue a career as a physician at age 14. "Making a difference" is my key to happiness in the practice of medicine and is the mission at Sustaina Center for Women. As a part of making a difference, I have also been very vigilant regarding safety and quality in the practice of medicine. Sustaina Center for Women was the national pilot small practice to become safety certified under the American Congress of Obstetrician and Gynecologists SCOPE (Safety Certification for Office Practice Excellence) Program. We are still the only practice in the state of Colorado to have achieved this certification. I have also engaged our office in grant based medical quality programs so that we can continue to improve ways to provide quality care to the women we serve. We are constantly working to improve care and caring. Our latest quality improvement exercise was to improve access as we now offer same day availability. We strive to provide a warm, caring and safe environment. Our next set of goals is to also become more of a women's hub, where women can come exchange information and help each other as we all work to care for our families - eldercare, childcare, and self care! We want to develop a significant resource center for women's needs. Lastly about myself personally. I have been happily married for over 30 years and enjoy the great outdoors of Colorado - skiing in the winter or mountain biking/hiking in the summer. I may not be fast, but I enjoy what I do!
At Sustaina Center for Women, we believe that health is about more than a well-maintained body - and health care is more than an annual exam. It's our philosophy that true wellness is three-dimensional, with physical, mental, and financial fitness all contributing to a healthy whole. Our practice is dedicated to providing you with the personalized care you need to bring your life into alignment- PLUS the practical tools you need to sustain that balance into the future. Think of us not as mere providers...but as your partners in good health. We designed the name Sustaina to add a feminine sense to the word, "sustain". What is your personal sustainability strategy? Our goal is to help you take those first steps to taking some control back in your life. We believe a well informed woman makes better choices for herself and her family. Your health is your path, not ours. Our path is to make sure you have all the tools and information you need, in a format that best suits you.
